Hey all,(that is, Pete and Ashley, as apparently everyone else has become too good for their Live journals) Aaron here, just wanted to relay that I still will update this old log here, especially since Summer "Hiatus" is over.
This year is shaping up great; I'm taking Italian, Spanish, Linguistics(English, that is), German Lit, and German Conversation. I'm very excited about Italian. I didn't know how much I actually liked the language.

So i have the day off today and i've watched a few Godzilla and Gamera flicks...
They're all the same... It's a goofy monster front for a crappy environmentalist message. Godzirra is mostly Anti Nuclear Proliferation and Gamera is generally about Water Pollution. Although it seems that most of them the guys that have suffered because of humanity's actions attack the earth and get beaten Gamera or Godzilla. So it's kinda like Godzilla approves... or maybe its like they're giving the humans a reprieve to correct their wrongs... Either way it's mostly a front to have Japanese guys in big rubber suits wrestle around.
Interesting stuff though... lotta elements at work... the great Deus Ex Machina of Godzilla's blue flamey stuff that always seems to kill the bad guys.
Anyways Job is ok. Its a lot of work since I have to do Registers, Aisles and Front Window. Tomorrow we gotta pull a truck too which is god awful. oh well. I'll leave yall with this.

Ach ja so einer deutscher Eintrag ist überfällig. Ja ja, ich weiss das niemand deiser Einträge lesen kann. Es ist schon für mir spaß sie zu schreiben. Mein Deutsch ist ganz und gar Rostig. Ich habe ungefähr drei deutsch Klassen nächste Semester. Es soll spaß und leise sein. Ich lerne mir auch Spanisch, das soll interessiert sein. Ich höre das Spanisch hat den Pronomen beseitigen hat. Das ist... am arsch... Eigentlich vielleicht kann mann in Spanische alle Nomen besietigen, wenn die Konditionen richtig sind. Total kaputt.
Ach so, zurück zum Arbeit. Viel spaß beim alle, und fröhe Volkstrauertag.

I've been immersing myself in classical music over the past few weeks. Its very refreshing... I have found though that -and you wont hear me say this often- the russian composers are just a bit better than the German ones... I guess its for what you like, the german composers are generally placid and relaxing but the russians... They are fiery and emotional.
I like the frantic, seemingly impossible to perform piano screams of Mussogorsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" far more than the dull, almost emo, requiems of Mozart. Give me Rimsky-Korsakov's upbeat, jovial and charged music over Bach's snooze fests any day. Not to say I don't like German/Austrian composers. (technically there was no germany at the time they were around).
However one German trumps them all... Richard Wagner. Wagner's Tannhäuser and the Ring and everything else... is just amazing. Listen to it sometime and just crank it. Its quite the experience.
Ach anyway...
So I'm looking for employment, put in an Application to Autozone. Gonna apply at Lowe's later on. Eugh. I would so much rather work for Autozone it's not funny. Lowe's or Target might drive me crazy. |

What's with the Colony of Robins that now own the entire Riverside courtyard... I was walking through to class today and strangly i was the only person in there and it was dead silent, except for the birds flapping every now and then to a tree or such. |

So I watched a show about this thing called the Antikytheran Mechanism last night. It was amazing, a computer that basically charted the planets, stars, and everything but it was built over 2000 years ago.
I've sort of thought that before the Library at Alexandria burned the Greeks/Romans/Egyptians had technology that was far past what we gave them credit for. Who knows what they had?
They were a lot smarter than what we give them credit for though.
